How to come to St Germain des Pres? By metro,  Mabilon or Saint-Germain-des-Pres metro station. Walk around is the best to discover the area. 

The Benedictine Abbey is the first sight you see. Founded by Childebert I (Clovis' son) in the 6th century, it is also his buried place. The church hosts beautiful concerts, Vivaldi The Four Seasons, Mozart, Pachelbel all year around.

Eglise Saint-Sulpice is another beautiful church to visit in the area. Walk to rue des Canette and after rue Bonaparte, you will be there in 5 minutes. The building is classified as an historical monument. You can admire some great works from Eugene Delacroix and the magnificent blue cupola in the Lady Chapel. St-Sulpice has been the church for Victor Hugo and Adele Foucher's wedding. Classical concerts are hold at Saint-Sulpice. 

The Musee National Eugene Delacroix is located in Eugene Delacroix's last apartment in Paris on 6 rue de Furstenberg. It's opened every day except Tuesdays. The museum has a nice collection of his paintings, the exceptional Mary Magdalen in the Wildeness.

Brasserie Lipp: 151 boulevard Saint-Germain. It is a well-know restaurant Famous clients, the  pilot Saint-Exupery, Andre Malraux...Specialties: sauerkraut, seafood, mussels... 

Laduree Bonaparte: 21 rue Bonaparte. A tea shop, specialty: macaron is a Parisian round cookie made with egg whites.
