Jardin du Luxembourg

The history of the Jardin du Luxembourg started in 1611 when Marie de Medicis decided to build a palace in Paris. She decided to plant 2,000 elm trees and build the Medici Fountain. Now the Luxembourg Palace is the house of the French Senat.

The Gardens and the palace are located in the 6 th arrondissement of Paris, near the metro Odeon Mabillon and the RER Luxembourg.
