Victory in Europe Day: May 8th. In French 8 May. The 8 mai 1945 is the end of the World War II.
Ascencion Day 2018: May 10th. In French Jeudi de l'ascencion. The Ascencion Thursday is when Jesus went to heaven, 40 days after his resurrection.
Whit Monday 2018: May 21st. Lundi de Pentecôte is fifty days after Easter when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles of the Christ.
Bastille Day 2018: July 14th. Le quatorze juillet or La Fête Nationale. Anniversary of the storming of the Bastille during the French Revolution. Parade and fireworks in Paris.
Assumption of Mary: August 15th. Assomption de Marie.
All Saints' Day: November 1st. La Toussaint a feast day, in the Catholic Church, to honor all the Saints.
Remembrance Day: November 11th. L'Armistice de 1918. It's the day of the agreement that the war is over in the First World War.
Christmas Day: December 25th. Noël the day of the birth of Jesus Christ. The Musée du Louvre, Orsay, Rodin... museums are closed.
