The Versailles Palace

A must see theVersailles Palace. If you are in Paris just few days, you cannot miss it! The Chateau is extremely popular with its 3 million visitors a year.

Only 20 kilometers away from Paris, the access to the Chateau de Versailles is quite simple. By rail: take the RER line C5 to Versailles and the station is at 700 meters to the Chateau.

Versailles Palace

There are two seasons during the year. It means for visitors different opening times and more activities during the high season.

The high season is between April 1 and October 31. The Palace is open every day except Mondays between 9 am to 6.30 pm. The garden is open every day between 8 am to 8:30 pm.

The low season is from November 1 to March 31. The Palace is open every day (except Mondays) from 9 am to 5.30 pm. The Garden opens every day (except Mondays) from 8 am to 6 pm.

Apollo Fountain

Amazing, beautiful decor! Louis XIV (The Sun King) has lived in the Versailles Palace with his 10 000 residents. The palace is too big to be visited in one day but if you stay just a short time in Paris, it is nice to spend few hours here. What to see:

-The Hall of mirrors

-The Throne room and the King's bedroom

-Go to the gardens, stretch your legs.There is more to visit!

-And The Little Trianon
