You're right Paris is great place to study!

VISAS

You'll need a study visa to study in France. Only one way for around 30 countries is going online at www.campusfrance.org and open first an account. It includes a personal interview. You'll contact directly the institutions at least three to have more chance to get in. They're two types of visa short and long term. A short term visa is for a period of a maximum three months (like a French language program). Long term visa is for over three months.

Universities

There's in Paris a large number of universities. Your choice will depend of what you'd like to study. These institutions are free. You've to passed your bac(exan at the end of the secondary) to go to university. 13 universities in Paris named by number:

Main Libraries

Libraries or bibliotheque are common places to go for people who study in France. You'll have to register before Borrowing books. It's free. You should know there're fees if you'll give back late your books.

Bibliotheque Centre-Pompidou Open 12pm-10pm week-days, week-end 11am-10pm closed on Tuesday. Located inside the Centre Pompidou. Metro: Rambuteau

Bibliotheque nationale de France Open 9am-7pm every day except Sunday and Monday morning. Located in 13 arrondissement Metro: Bibliotheque François Mitterrand. Huge collection of Archives.

TIPS

Salon des etudes et Carrieres a l'International Exhibition of international studies and careers between January 28th to 29th 2011, opening hours 10am to 6pm located at the Porte de Versailles. Metro Porte de Versailles

Salon de l'Etudiant just for student, great exhibition on the March 4th to March 6th, 2011 at the Porte de Versailles
