Paris Les Invalides
Napoleon Tomb

Visit les Invalides and the Napoleon Tomb. Location of the Musee de l'Armee, 129 rue de Grenelle Paris 07.

Opening hours 10am to 6pm every day except the first Monday of the month. Seven days a week during June, July and August.

One of the most important Paris landmarks, was built in the 17th century.

Les Invalides

There are two churches St Louis also called the Soldiers Church and the Dome Church the Eglise du Dome.

Napoleon Tomb is in the Dome Church. Near there are the sepultures of Napoleon's brothers and his son.

Napoleon Bonaparte died on May 5th 1821 on the Island of St Helena where he was exiled after his defeat at Waterloo in 1815. His body was transferred here on December 15, 1840.

You should visit the Musee de l'Armee. A magnificent display of 100 000 army uniforms, weapons and paintings. Allow at least 2 hours for a visit.

Petrossian restaurant 144 rue de l'Universite. Phone 1 44 11 32 32. Wonderful restaurant one of my favorite excellent menu specialty the caviar. Best place to buy some caviar at the boutique. Great experience!

Le Petit Bordelais 22 Rue Surcouf. Phone 01 45 51 46 93. Delicious and authentic food Duck foie gras, lobster, tuna, turbot, cod... Also a degustation menu at 54€ or 70 € includes wine.
