Easy Day Trips from Paris
Most Popular Sights!

Everything is so closed in France there're few Day Trips from Paris you shoudn't miss: Versailles Palace, Monet's House at Giverny, the Cathedral of Chartres.

VERSAILLES

The Palace of Versailles is first of the day Trips from Paris. Stunning inside and outside it's something grandiose. It takes 40mn with RER line C5 from Gare d'Austerlitz to Versailles. The Palace is opened every day except Monday. It takes a full day so much to see between the Chateau inside and the gardens.

GIVERNY

One hour west of Paris, Giverny is famous for Monet's House. He lived here until his death. You can take the train around 45mn to go there from the Gare St-Lazarre to Vernon. Beautiful gardens must be visited all year around. Spring is particularly a good time when the flowers are blooming.

Monet`s Gardens

CHARTRES

It takes 35mn to go to Chartres by train from the Gare Montparnasse. The City is famous for its cathedrale with its beautiful gothique architecture. The festival of lights is at night between Apr 23-Sept 18.

BOULOGNE

It's a city in Northern France. It takes 2h40 from Paris with the Highway A16. Divided in 2 parts Ville Basse (Lower Town) where you found the port. You'll find nice patisseries, shops and brasseries. And the Ville Haute (Upper town) you'll see medieval ramparts, the castle, Cathedral, restaurants and cafes. A little further...

MONT ST-MICHEL

From Paris 4.5 hours the Mont Saint Michel is a rocky tidal island of Normandy. It's one of my favorite place in France. One kilometer from the coast you climb the street to the monastery at the top. Good restaurants and quite interesting place to visit.

Mont St-Michel

ST-MALO

Beautiful town in Brittany St-Malo is surrounded by medieval ramparts. Very good restaurants. You'll really enjoy your day along the beaches...place for windsurfing, sailing or wake boarding.
