When is the best time to visit Paris?

The climate Paris France is never too cold or never too hot!

Maybe it is better in Spring and in Autumn

But at the same time it will be more crowds and you will wait longer for the attractions.

Spring

June is particularly a good time with longer days. It adds extra hours for sightseeing. The temperature is not really hot and you can still have some showers! This season can be quite busy with tourists. It is very nice to sit outside.

Summer

This season is sometimes very hot and sticky. Traffic fumes can reach alarming levels.

But it is less crowds. Parisians take their holidays end of July and August. Some businesses and shops are closed. There are still plenty things to do in the summer time. Many concerts in parks, Paris Plage a fun beach on the right bank on the Seine.

Take with you a raincoat, umbrella, sunglasses, hat, sun cream. Some good walking shoes are recommended!

Autumn

In September, October like Spring time can be busy in Paris. A lot of things are going on like trades fairs at this time of the year.

Winter

December is quite cold with short days. The visits are not so crowdy! Paris is magic during this time of the year with the illuminations, Christmas markets. Snow is rare in Paris but it can happens! In 2010 Paris had around 30 cm of snow.The climate Paris France will never stop you to visit it at any time of the year!

What to pack

What to pack for a trip to Paris? Pack light. Think what you are going to do and how often you will really change your clothes. Multiple layers T shirt and light weight sweaters, a jacket, a raincoat. Men would like to bring a sport jacket if they plan to go out for dining.

Take good walking shoes necessary for visiting Paris. Even your dressy shoes should be enough comfortable.

Don't buy a whole new wardrobe for your trip. Paris is the best place for shopping.
